Tanam Farsooda jaa para
Ze Hijra Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم
Dillam Paz Murda Aawara
Ze Isyaa. Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم
My body is dissolving in your separation
And my soul is breaking into pieces. Ya Rasul Allah! صلي الله عليه و سلم
Due to my sins, My heart is weak and becoming enticed. Ya Rasul Allah! صلي الله عليه و سلم
Choon Soo’e Mun Guzar Aari
Manne Miskeen Zanaa Daari
Fida-E-Naqsh-E-Nalainat
Kunam Ja. Ya Rasul Allah! صلي الله عليه و سلم
When you pass by me
Then even in my immense poverty, ecstatically,
I must sacrifice my soul on your blessed sandal. Ya Rasul Allah! صلي الله عليه و سلم
Ze Jaame Hubb To Mustam
Ba Zanjeere To Dil Bustam
Nu’mi Goyam Ke Mun Bustum
Sukun Daa. Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم!
I am drowned in the taste of your love
And the chain of your love binds my heart.
Yet I don’t say that I know this language (of love). Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم!
Ze Kharda Khaish Hairaanam
Siyaa Shud Roze Isyaanam
Pashemaanam, Pashemaanam, Pashemaanam. Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم!
I am worried due to my misdeeds;
And I feel that my sins have blackened my heart. Ya Rasul Allah! صلي الله عليه و سلم
I am in distress! I am in distress! I am in distress! Ya Rasul Allah! صلي الله عليه و سلم
Choon Baazoo’e Shafaa’at Raa
Khushaa’I Bar Gunaagara
Makun Mahruume Jaami Raa
Daraa Aan. Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم!
Ya Rasul Allah صلي الله عليه و سلم! When you spread your hands to intercede for the sinners,
Then do not deprive Jaami of your exalted intercession.
The poem demonstrates the depth of love Hadrat Maulana Abdur Rahman Jaami (rahmatullah alayh) had for Sayyiduna Rasulullah صلي الله عليه و سلم
May Allah (SWT) grant us all a share of such love for his Habib, Ameen.
According to the venerable hazrat jaami
in his own words, "I never took lessons from anyone whom i saw as having me under his control, as having subjected me to his domination and decree. With my own understanding, i always surpassed my professors. No one can claim to have taught anything that was beyond me. I am really my father's pupil, not anyone else's."
here is a short incident which happened to hazrat Jaami
when he was in or near iran; on the pilgram road to the hijaz,
A man of the desert noticed the venerable maulanas camel, and wanted to buy it from him. He was so admantly insistent and persistent, that Hazrat jami
found he had no option but to accept the camel dealer's offer.
Hazrat sold his camel, but-who knows why?- the camel died soon afterwards, next to a sandhill. The nomad went looking for the venerable hazrat. Once he had found him, he kept saying: "you sold me a camel that was sick, diseased! You robbed me! He cursed and swore, using the harshest words. The venerable hazrat jaami
apologised and repaid him his gold coins, and said when he had left: "i detected a change in this mans face. His death is probably near at hand." They buried the man next to the sandhill,
where he had buried Hazrat jaami's
camel.
wise words from maulana jaami (ra) -
The superior spirit is one that is always in a state of sorrow and contrition. The odour of neglect is emitted by someone who has not experienced sorrow and contrition, while the perfume of composure emanates from a person who is sad and contrite. Sorrow and contrition are the
emblems of those attached to this path.
The following is the poem that Hazrat jaami
wanted to recite; Ya Rasoolallah
,
"Grant refuge and help the needy and console the hearts of those filled with love for you.
How wonderful would be that day when to your abode i shall come and blacken my eyes with dust of madina. (may the Lord hasten the day of my arrival in madina, to refresh my eyes with the dust of madina)
To your honoured mimbar paak shall i go and rubbing thereon my face, gone pale of love for you, that golden it shall become. O prophet of Allah
, frustrated have i become, dejected of my selfishness.
Help this helpless soul and turn to him your look of favour. If your loving kindness be not showered upon us, paralysis would
overtake us and vanquished shall we be.
Our ill fate has turned us from Allah's path of righteousness. Pray
to Allah on our behalf for complete guidance.
O Allah, firstly grant us true faith in a goodly, fruitful
life. And guide us Allah, to a steadfast following in deen.
And inspite of our numerous heinous sins, Allah shall grant Muhammad
to intercede for us, for without it we are lost.
And that you shall arrive on the plain of reckoning, while we, encircled by our sins, look on as you shall bend your head in prayer, calling out, "Forgive my people, Allah forgive them."
"it is related that Hazrat Jaami
having composed the qaseedah in praise of the holy prophet
decided to proceed for hajj. His further intention was to stand before the rauza mubarak(green dome in madina) and then to recite his poem to ya rasooallah
.
When he intended to leave from makkah to medina munawwara, after performing the hajj.
The holy prophet
appeared in a dream to the governor of makkah and told him, "do not allow maulana jaami enter madina munawwara." The governor prohibited him from going to Madina sharif, however his love and longing for Ya rasoolallah
was such that inspite of the
order, he secretly set off.
Some how Hazrat Jami knew the governor was going to send people after him, so he decided to pay someone money to secretly carry him in a tabuk(chest made of metal). The governors men caught up with the caravan and asked, anybody know a abdul rehman jaami? They all remained quiet then a sum of money was announced as a reward, instantly the man carrying hazrat jaami gave him up. Hazrat jaami was taken back to makkah, where he was told to refrain from going to medina sharif. However that very night hazrat jaami
set off again, this time he met a sheperd on his way to madina sharif with his livestock.
Hazrat jaami asked if he could travel with his animals, the man said what happens if you try and nick my livestock? Hazrat jaami said i am no theif i give you my money, the man was convinced and then they set off, Hazrat jaami crawled on all fours, hiding amongst the animals so that he may not be spotted crawling, crawling like if he was a animal. The governor again was instructed by the holy prophet
that jaami is coming hiding amongst a herd of animals. Hazrat Jaami was caught, and treated most harshly as they arrested him and then cast him into jail. For a third time the messenger of Allah
appeared to the governor angry and reprimanding him, "he is no criminal. All that he is guilty of is that out of his love for me he had written some lines poetry which he had intended to recite in my presence. If he does that, my hand would protrude from the grave in order to shake his hand.
Such a thing would cause great confusion (for that reason he was prevented) hazrat jaami was freed and told about this, and did not even try to go madina Sharif after that...
